Top-ranked SPIRE Academy remains undefeated with a 78-49 win over College Achieve at New Jersey's Metro Classic

The No. 1 SPIRE Academy [Geneva, OH] kept its undefeated streak intact Friday in a 78-49 rout of the College Achieve [Asbury Park, NJ] Knights at the Metro Classic 2026 in Galloway, New Jersey.

The nation's top-ranked team in The Sporting News Boys Basketball Top 25 is now 12-0 on the season, and they'll wrap up their weekend in the Garden State with a 7:30 p.m. EST contest on Saturday in the final game of the competition against the Linden [NJ] Tigers.

SPIRE Academy National wasn't the only big winner during Friday's session at Stockton University. The Gill St. Bernard's [Gladstone, NJ] Knights steamrolled the Paramus [NJ] Catholic Paladins, 65-46, in a battle between two home state powerhouses in the first game of the day.

But the biggest win may have been the Blair Academy [Blairstown, NJ] Bucs' 20-point thrashing of the Top 50 St. Thomas More [Oakdale, CT] Chancellors in a 96-76 rout. The Bucs are 11-1 on the season after collecting one of their best wins of the 2025-26 campaign.
