The AEW President, Tony Khan could suspend a former WWE star after he brutally takes out a popular star on Dynamite. The star is set for a major trios match this Wednesday.

The former WWE United States Champion, Samoa Joe might get suspended by Tony Khan. After he failed to capture the AEW World Championship at WrestleDream 2025, Joe surprisingly turned heel by attacking Hangman Page alongside The Opps. The Samoan Submission Machine could brutally attack HOOK as well.

Samoa Joe and HOOK were partners earlier this year before HOOK got injured and was replaced by Powerhouse Hobbs in The Opps. This Wednesday on Dynamite, Joe will team with Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata to take on the team of the AEW World Champion, Hangman Page, HOOK, and Eddie Kingston in a trios encounter.

After the trios match is over, Samoa Joe could brutally assault his former partner and the beloved babyface, HOOK in order to send a message to Hangman Page before their World title match at Full Gear 2025. Following the assault, Tony Khan may suspend Joe until the Full Gear pay-per-view later this month.

The Kayfabe suspension could be a result of an unprovoked attack by Joe. It will be interesting to see what transpires in the trios match on Dynamite.

Tony Khan is optimistic about ex-WWE star staying with AEW after retirement

Tony Khan wants the ex-WWE star, Samoa Joe to stay with AEW and be a mentor even after he decides to retire from in-ring competition. Speaking with Z100 New York recently, Khan said he is hopeful that Joe will stay with his promotion even after retiring:

"I'm very optimistic that eventually, whenever Samoa Joe does decide to retire from the ring, I'm very hopeful and optimistic that Samoa Joe will stay with us in [All Elite Wrestling] and be a mentor to the wrestlers," Tony said.

It remains to be seen if Samoa Joe manages to capture the AEW World title once again at Full Gear 2025.
