Tony Khan has just revealed a major change he has made within AEW. This pertained to the way things were run in a specific area of the company, which affects all talent.

Khan is not just the President and CEO of All Elite Wrestling, but he works up close and personal with the many names signed to his company. He is a major part of the creative booking process, and he collaborates with those backstage and in the different areas of the company that they cover.

While speaking to Jon Alba on The Takedown on SI, Tony Khan revealed that in 2025, he felt that he had gotten too collaborative, a mistake that he made during the early beginnings of the company. After realizing this, he has made a point to put things together himself.

"Since you asked about the focus and some of the stories and putting the TV shows together, yeah, I definitely felt like I had had a good approach that I’d refined in 2020, and trying to be good, trying to listen and be collaborative. I think I had gotten too collaborative, and it was kind of the same mistake I made at the beginning. And it really helped in the end of 2024, going into 2025, I just said, 'Okay, I'm gonna put the outline for everything together myself. I'm gonna eliminate the meetings between shows, and I will put everything together myself between shows."

Tony Khan then reiterated that collaboration was never a bad thing, as this was one of AEW's assets. He explained that this was with regard to him dealing with people, and he wanted to only focus on him and the wrestlers, and have them directly talk about things, instead of this going through others.

"And then I'll come in with the outline of what I want, rather than have a lot of collaborative meetings where everybody chimes in what they think we should be doing.' I don’t want to describe ever being collaborative is a bad thing, because the whole thing that makes AEW great is collaboration. But the collaboration should probably, at its best, be between me and the wrestlers, and working to find the best path, and not having a lot of people in the middle of that.” [H/T Fightful]

Tony Khan posts tribute to Brodie Lee

The wrestling world lost Brodie Lee 5 years ago, and AEW was fortunate to have him with them as a pivotal figure before his passing. Tony Khan has just taken to X/Twitter to post a tribute message to the wrestling icon and urged others to always keep him in their hearts.

"5 years ago today, the world lost Jon Huber, a great man known to fans as Mr. Brodie Lee + Luke Harper. His family came first, his loving wife Amanda and their sons Brodie + Nolan. He loved wrestling, + he was an amazing wrestler. He loved you fans. Please keep him in your hearts."

Tony Khan has gone through a bumpy ride as the President of AEW, but his company is thriving now and is arguably the second biggest promotion in the world. They have also had a great year, and it looks like their momentum isn't going anywhere.
