Japanese kickboxing star Yuki Yoza has been turning heads in ONE Championship with convincing victories. His most recent win came at the expense of former world champion Petchtanong Petchfergus, which was made more impressive as he did not wear hand wraps as protection on his way to the victory.
The Team Vasileus representative dominated Petchfergus in their clash at ONE Friday Fights 116 in July in Thailand, winning by unanimous decision.
Yoza was in his element for the duration of their scheduled three-rounder, successfully mixing varying strikes that had the former bantamweight kickboxing king guessing for the most part, punctuated by a massive left hand and a flurry of punches to send the Thai fighter to the canvas in the second round.
Petchtanong tried to make up for lost ground in the third and final frame but Yoza continued to be a step ahead of him to preserve the decision victory in the end.

When Yuki Yoza removed his gloves inside the ring following his victory, it became known that he was not wearing hand wraps, which are used to protect fighters from possible hand injuries.
ONE Championship looked back at Yoza's impressive win over Petchtanong by sharing the full fight on its official YouTube channel.

Yuki Yoza also did not wear hand wraps in his ONE debut against Russian Elbrus Osmanov back in May and was potent on his way to the decision win.
"So, I’m crazy. I love fighting, and right now, I’m quite crazy. And I don’t need that hand wrap," said Yoza in an interview with ONE Championship on his decision not to wear hand wraps.Yuki Yoza vows another win at ONE 173
Whether Yuki Yoza will continue shunning wearing hand wraps moving forward remains to be seen, but he vowed to chalk up another victory in his scheduled match later this month.
The Tokyo-based fighter is set to see action at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri on Nov. 16 in his backyard of Ariake Arena. He will battle Thai superstar Superlek Kiatmoo9 in a high-stakes bantamweight kickboxing showdown.
Yuki Yoza is looking to earn his third win in as many matches in ONE Championship and continue to highlight his standing as an emerging force in his division.
