Head coach of the Nebraska Volleyball team, Dani Busboom Kelly, weighed in on the Nebraska Volleyball team's Halloween celebrations. Since the Nebraska Cornhuskers were busy competing against the Wisconsin Badgers on Halloween Day, i.e., October 31, the team celebrated Halloween around October 29.

In the post-match press conference after the victory against the Oregon Ducks, the head coach reflected on the Halloween party and the costumes worn by the players. Kelly opened up about Virginia Adriano's bodysuit and her own appearance as the previous coach, John Cook.

Kelly mentioned, when asked about the Halloween celebrations in the post-match press conference,

"My favorite costume, I think Kelly as John was pretty funny but Kelly's just funny person in general. And then um I love Virginia. She's so tall and lanky and she had that orange bodysuit. It was pretty funny." [3:40 onwards]

Dani Busboom Kelly previously talked about preparing the Nebraska Volleyball for the upcoming challenges this season. In a press conference conducted after the game against the Michigan State Spartans team, the head coach remarked,

"During our practices, we have really competitive practices. You know, we are always mixing our teams up, making sure we are creating different match-ups that could be similar to the game. Again, I have said this so many times. The team has fallen short, the bulk of the team for two years now. So, they are pretty hungry, and I think they understand that what is going to happen if they get complacent and it's not going to be good," she said. (1:04 onwards)

Dani Busboom Kelly was referring to the title drought that Nebraska Volleyball has been facing since 2017. The head coach further added when asked about the constant rotation of players after each set or game.

"Uh probably not to this level of depth, um, but I also think a lot of coaches are scared to do it for a lot of reasons, because I think it potentially could mess up a rhythm. It could potentially create doubt in your starters. There's a lot of potentials, but I just see that the risk far outweighs or the reward far outweighs the risk."

The Nebraska Volleyball team had last won the NCAA Championships in 2017, although they came close in 2021 and 2023, respectively. As the new head coach, Dani Busboom Kelly is aiming to repeat the heroics she once achieved as a player.
