Shedeur Sanders and Bronny James pretty much have one thing in common.
They're the sons of legends of their sports who were always going to have a tough time fully living up to the hype of their last name.
And on Friday night, one X account connected them in another way by pointing out a wild fact.

Bronny James was drafted higher in the NBA Draft than Shedeur has been as he waits his turn in the NFL Draft.

The NBA Draft only lasts 60 picks. It would already be over in this context.
Bronny went No. 55 overall to the Lakers, a selection most believed only occurred because his father LeBron is also in Los Angeles.
The NFL Draft has lasted 102 picks without Shedeur off the board.

Shedeur and Bronny come from opposite sides of the equation here.
Bronny had a shortened freshman season at USC after a heart issue and was likely in the draft too early to maximize his potential. He had a strong chance of going undrafted.

Shedeur was a consensus first-round pick who somehow hasn't been chosen in three rounds.
This stat doesn't mean much, really. But it's just one more way of emphasizing how wild this Sanders fall down the draft board has really been.
