The greatest example of LeBron James' historic longevity in the NBA will always be his son, Bronny.
LeBron stuck around long enough to play with his child in the league. And dad is still getting the job done in immensely impressive ways.
That includes Thursday night in the Los Angeles Lakers' win over the Dallas Mavericks. LeBron had 28 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists.
He became the oldest player in league history to record a triple-double, and the oldest to ever lead both teams in points, rebounds, assists and minutes in a single game.

He also, fittingly, subbed out of the game with less than two minutes to go while Bronny checked in.
Not a full-on passing of the baton, but a little reminder of LeBron's true greatness.
It also allowed for an incredible stat shared by ESPN Insights:
"Bronny James was 105 days old when LeBron James recorded his first career triple-double on January 19th, 2005. On Thursday, February 12th, at 21-years-old, Bronny checked in for his father after he recorded his 123rd career triple-double."

LeBron has been getting triple-doubles for almost Bronny's entire life.
And now Bronny is checking in to an NBA game for his father, who is still doing it.
Astounding stuff, and it almost has to be surreal for LeBron. He's been more reflective in recent years, but it'll be cool to hear him talk about all this when his career is over, because it's something that otherwise would've seemed impossible, until the King did it.
For what it's worth, Bronny missed one shot as his only statistical action in his short stint on Thursday night.
But that wasn't the story. His dad was, as usual.
