Is Cooper Flagg playing tonight vs. Lakers? Final status for Mavericks star

The Dallas Mavericks will look to snap an eight-game losing streak when they head to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers on Thursday night.

It will be the last game before the All-Star break for both teams, so both teams will get some rest after the matchup. 

Cooper Flagg ruled out vs. Lakers with left midfoot sprain 

Unfortunately for the Mavericks, they'll be without star rookie Cooper Flagg for the game against the Lakers. Flagg has been ruled out of the contest due to a due to a left midfoot sprain. 

The injury will also force Flagg, the current favorite to win Rookie of the Year, to miss the Rising Stars Game at All-Star Weekend.
