The identity of the mystery man of WWE was finally revealed during this week's episode of RAW. However, some fans claim that the promotion straight-up copied AEW's angle with the Death Riders.

The masked assailant first showed up at Survivor Series WarGames. He attacked CM Punk and planted him with a Stomp. This allowed Bron Breakker to pin the champ and win the match for his team. Last week, the hooded figure again showed up on RAW and helped The Vision destroy LA Knight. This week, the masked man showed up again during Logan Paul's main event match against Rey Mysterio. When CM Punk rushed out with a steel chair, the man ran into the audience, took off his mask, and was revealed to be Austin Theory.

This angle has some fans speculating that WWE may have borrowed the idea from AEW. Fans on social media claimed that this was WWE imitating Tony Khan's angle with the Death Riders. They suggested that Theory looked exactly like Daniel Garcia when he revealed his new look.

Austin Theory is the mystery man in WWE

This week, Logan Paul was on RAW to take care of his Rey Mysterio problem. CM Punk caught up with Rey before the match and assured him that he would be on the lookout if The Vision interfered.

During the match, Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker showed up, but Punk neutralized them with a steel chair. However, the masked man hit a vicious stomp on Mysterio, allowing The Maverick to pin him. Punk showed up again with a steel chair, but the hooded figure rushed into the crowd. He took off his mask and revealed himself as Austin Theory.

Breakker used this distraction and planted CM Punk with a Spear, sending out a message to the champ before their match on January 5.
