Where Winds Meet Walkthrough: How to complete Gleaming Abyss Campaign quest (The Void King boss)

Gleaming Abyss is one of the Campaign quests in Where Winds Meet. Completing this quest will not only unlock a large underground area but also give you access to one of the bosses, named The Void King. Additionally, you can obtain several rewards, such as Oscillating Jade, Echo Jade, Medicinal Tales, and Coins.

How to complete the Gleaming Abyss Campaign quest in Where Winds Meet

Gleaming Abyss Campaign quest location

Join the statues and bow (Image via NetEase)

Go to Moonveil Mountain to find several statues of people praying below a large statue. Join the statues and sit on the pink mat to pray with them. You will get stuck in this position for a few seconds, and it will trigger a cutscene.

Find Deer Tracks using Wind Sense

After the cutscene, use your Wind Sense to find Deer Tracks. You will see glowing footsteps on the ground, and you must follow them until you find two NPCs praying in front of a ruin gate.

Decipher How to Open the Stone Door

Keep your distance from the NPCs and use Meridian Touch to immobilize them. Next, sit on the mat in the middle to make offerings. This will open the stone door.

Press Deeper into the Cave

Go to the lowest floor (Image via NetEase)

Go deeper into the cave to reach the lowest level, where you'll need to find three blue deer shadows and interact with the stone coffin.

Quell the Stone Coffin's Wrath

You can find the first deer shadow near the water on the left side of the stone passage. Interact with the NPC phantoms. Do note that the water is toxic, so avoid stepping into it.

Deer Shadow - Vine's Depths

The second deer is hidden behind the vines on the right side of the stone passage. Unfortunately, you can't burn the vines, and you will need to enter through the small hole on its right.

For the last deer shadow, you need to use your Bow to burn the vines near the blue light on the wall. This will summon several drum platforms, and you must approach the blue light on the water and let the system do its work. Finally, once the barriers are gone, approach the stone coffin and interact with it to trigger a cutscene.

Survey What Lies Ahead and Overcome the Peril

Once you wake up, you will find yourself inside a large room. Next, you will need to defeat a few mobs, and be careful of their exploding body.

Find a way out

Once you've defeated the mobs, open all the chests and collect the key from the body in the coffin. Next, insert the key into the small statue to open the door.

Keep moving until you see another door with a silhouette of a deer's head and horns. To open the door, you need to climb through the hidden passage above the rocks on the right side of the door and look for three deer statues. Purifying these statues will give you the components to place them on the stone door.

Once you've collected all three, return to the door and enter the building system to place the horns and the head. This will open the door and trigger another cutscene where you'll reach The Void King's lair.

Defeat The Void King

The Void King can be a challenging fight as it can switch between ranged and melee attacks at any time. It is advised to stay close to him always because his ranged attacks can be powerful, and his yellow attacks are unblockable.

Head to the Mist Gate and Uncover the Final Story

Once you've defeated The Void King, go to the Mist Gate and enter the fog. Next, go deeper into the cave to find a tree with blue leaves. You can interact with the NPC phantom to learn more about the NPCs, or take the other path to reach the top. Once there, open the chest inside the house and interact with the glowing statue near the water to summon a stone bridge.

The Gleaming Abyss Campaign quest will end once you cross the bridge, and you will get the following rewards in Where Winds Meet:

• Divine Roulette: Tome x1
• Medicinal Tales x1
• Longevity Fruit Seed x1
• Oscillating Jade x5
• Echo Jade x50
• Coin x30000

Additionally, you will get a bunch of EXP.
