Kevin Nash discussed John Cena's latest appearance on RAW, which was his final one in his hometown of Boston. Nash had some comments about Cena and his legacy as one of the greatest WWE stars of all time.

Last Monday on RAW, The GOAT became a Grand Slam Champion after beating Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Title. Cena finally achieved the feat, with just a month left in his farewell tour.

Speaking on the Kliq This podcast, Nash thought that Cena remains underappreciated by fans despite the reception he has gotten during his retirement tour. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer argued that the 17-time WWE World Champion endured a lot of things during his peak as the face of the company.

"He's so underappreciated, I think, John Cena. For of all the sh*t he's done. There were a lot of years where people gave him a hard time," Nash said.

While not as divisive as Roman Reigns, John Cena was booed a lot during his peak because he barely lost to anyone. Cena did put over some stars, but he was so dominant during his legendary run as the face of the WWE from the late 2000s to the early 2010s.

John Cena's final RAW appearance as an active in-ring performer

Monday's episode of RAW inside the iconic Madison Square Garden will be the final time John Cena is on the show as an active in-ring performer. Cena has two dates left in his farewell tour after MSG.

He's advertised for Survivor Series: WarGames on November 27 at Petco Park in San Diego, California. He's set to have his final match at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. under the Saturday Night's Main Event banner on December 13.

Cena's final opponent will be determined by the winner of The Last Time Is Now Tournament, currently held on both RAW and SmackDown. Jey Uso, LA Knight, Sheamus and Rusev have already clinched their spots in the quarterfinals.

There are four first-round matches left this week, including Solo Sikoa vs. a mystery opponent and Gunther vs. Je'Von Evans on RAW, while Penta vs. Finn Balor and Carmelo Hayes vs. Bronson Reed are scheduled for Friday's SmackDown.
