“They are scared,” “Mfs do be cheating”: OU fans rip Alabama WR Germie Bernard for his honest admission on Sooners’ home-field lights

Alabama wide receiver Germie Bernard wasn't the biggest fan of Oklahoma's stadium lights. The pacey pass catcher complained about the Sooners' lights after the Crimson Tide were beaten in 2024.

With the team set to face off in the CFP first round, Oklahoma Sooners fans took to Instagram to give their two cents.

A fan said, "They are scared already making excuses.”

“They are scared,” “Mfs do be cheating”

Another added, " I mean .. mfs do be cheating.” One wrote, "Don’t talk too much before tonight lol.”

However, some fans sided with Bernard.

One said, "No one is giving Bama a chance!! Even Vegas has Oklahoma favored now!! Bama can definitely turn it around!! If Bama can finally play Bama football they definitely can beat Oklahoma!! It’s hard to beat a team twice in one season!! Don’t think for one second that Oklahoma is going to have an easy win against Bama!! Bama also knowing that people didn’t want them in the playoffs and how they played against Georgia, I believe that you are going to see a much healthier Bama and Bama playing Bama football!!” Another wrote, "Yall just taking words and mixing them up he didn’t say the contributed to bamas struggles but made it more difficult for him no excuses just saying what every receiver think.” One chipped in, saying, "Boy y’all hate bama I would to all these years.”

The Oklahoma Sooners and Alabama Crimson Tide's last game ended in a Sooners' win. The loss was Kalen DeBoer's team's second of the 2025 season.

The Crimson Tide will be out for revenge in tonight's game while the Sooners are out to pile up on the misery.
