WWE has come under heavy fire after a former writer for the company recently blasted its creative team. The promotion has been criticized by many fans for the content it's been giving out on screen for the past few weeks. This is the first time that a substantial portion of the fanbase is criticizing the product during Triple H's regime.
Former WWE head writer Vince Russo is among the company's biggest and harshest critics, and he came out with all guns blazing against the current Triple H-led creative team. Russo was talking on an episode of Writing with Russo on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, when he blasted his former employers.
In a conversation with co-host Dr. Chris Featherstone, he said that WWE doesn't have a clue as to what they're doing. He claimed that the company's storylines have no pattern, logic, or purpose, and it seems like they write the show at the last minute.
"I gave up trying to figure out what they were doing a long time ago because I came to the conclusion. They don't have a clue to what they're doing. There's no pattern, you know, there's no purpose, there's no logic. Like you said, it's like, oh my God, it's Tuesday. We got to get the Wednesday show ready. Oh, it's Wednesday. What show do we got on Thursday? That's how they're booking this Chris. So, I have no idea, I really don't," Russo said.Did The Rock's "Final Boss" run hurt WWE? Watch Here!
While Russo has criticized the promotion heavily, many fans have seen an improvement in the product since Wrestlepalooza's ratings came out. While some decisions have been criticized weekly, the majority of the fanbase has been happy with the quality of content since the first Premium Live Event that aired on ESPN.
