Roman Kryklia says he is destined to sit atop the striking world as one of the greats: “This is the place where I want to be”

Two-division and two-sport ONE world champion Roman Kryklia of Ukraine sees his clash with Samet Agdeve of Turkey as another step towards greatness.

The double champion will look to claim his third crown when he faces ‘The King’ for the inaugural ONE heavyweight kickboxing world championship in the curtain closer of ONE Fight Night 37 on Prime Video.

The historic bout takes place on Nov. 7 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Kryklia has laid a path of destruction in the home of martial arts, where he remains untouchable with six finishes in seven victories.

The 6-foot-7 colossus is already one of the most feared pure strikers on the planet, but his hunger for more remains.

For the Champ Belts standout, a third belt would solidify his place among combat sports royalty.

Kryklia shared in an exclusive ONE Championship interview:

“When they put the new belt on my shoulder, it just means that [I’ve taken] one more step in my way to the very top of the striking world, and I think this is the place where I want to be.”

After demolishing challenger Lyndon Knowles to retain his Muay Thai belt last April, Kryklia extended his ridiculous winning streak to 15.

At ONE Fight Night 37, the towering force will look to add to his legacy at Agdeve’s expense.

At this point in his career, Roman Kryklia is no longer chasing personal glory.

While becoming the best in his chosen craft is great, he's now thinking about establishing a legacy and perhaps inspiring the new generation.

The 34-year-old dual-sport world champion explained to ONE Championship:

“I want to make history. I want to return the attention of people to heavyweight. That's why I'm very hungry. And I'm going forward.”
