There's a 'real chance' Bill Belichick doesn't coach a single game at UNC

The North Carolina Tar Heels football program has been in the news a lot lately, and not for good reasons. Bill Belichick is the new head coach, but he and his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, have been a common sight in headlines. 

Recently, a report dropped that North Carolina had banned Hudson from the facilities on campus, which came after a viral CBS interview where she was frustrated and walked off the set after some questions. 

On the other hand, those reports got debunked by others, and North Carolina announced Hudson is not an employee or associated with the program in any way. 

At this point, it's been a big mess in Chapel Hill, which isn't what North Carolina was hoping for when they hired the six-time Super Bowl-winning coach. 

Now, Pablo Torre, who broke the initial report of Hudson being banned, revealed that there is a "chance" Belichick doesn't coach a single game for the Tar Heels. Torre made those comments during an episode of "The Dominique Foxworth Show" on Monday. 

“I think there’s a chance, an absolutely real chance that he doesn’t,” Torre said about Belichick coaching in Week 1. “And the reason I say that is because even before the Jordon Hudson thing became as public, even before it went from messy backstage to now, obviously messy everywhere, the date that matters the most is June 1st.”

It's certainly a possibility, as Belichick's buyout drops from $10 million to just $1 million on June 1. 

So, the question North Carolina must ask is this: Is the drama worth the potential reward? If not, Belichick might be gone sooner rather than later.
