The Last Frontier season 1 episode 8, L'air Perdu, doubles down on Sidney Scofield's backstory, or at least the month before the plane crash in the season premiere happened. It confirms that Sidney planned to bring down Havlock's plane with Thiago's help to make Havlock's death count, because for her, he would have died anyway.

Havlock's death would trigger the dead man's switch, which would then activate Archive 6 to self-distribute. It's her plan to expose Bradford and her betrayal, including killing Sidney's father, using Archive 6. But the plane crash wasn't successful, and Havlock lived.

While Sidney's plan is botched now that the CIA stopped the dead man's switch, Havlock gave her his hard copy of Archive 6. And while she has that leverage, she's also a wanted woman now that Bradford knows what she planned. The Last Frontier season 1 episode 8 ends with Frank arresting Havlock, but Sidney has already escaped.
