A top WWE luchador is teasing his return amidst this week's episode of SmackDown. Santos Escobar has been missing from TV for months at this point.
Back in October, Escobar was in the news as one of the latest names to have turned down a renewal offer from TKO after his contract expired. In fact, his profile had also been moved to the alumni section of the roster on the company website. However, the two parties worked it out, and the star finally signed a new deal, reportedly with a bigger purse and more perks.
Despite his new deal with the WWE, the star has not even been mentioned on the company's weekly programming. On a recent social media post, the leader of Legado del Fantasma shared that he was waiting patiently for an opportunity. The star could possibly be teasing something huge in WWE during the final months of 2025. He could also show up to AAA Alianzas, which will be streamed on YouTube on November 22. The star looked to be in terrific physical shape.
WWE is on the road to Survivor Series: WarGames
Things are heating up in the company ahead of Survivor Series: WarGames. This week's episode was an important pit stop ahead of the PLE.
The show featured major stars from the blue brand, including Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch, and AJ Lee. The tag team scene on the blue brand is also hot with the MFTs running rampant. They will face the team of Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, Rey Fenix, and the Motor City Machine Guns next week in a traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Tag Team Elimination Match.
The show ended with AJ Lee returning to the blue brand to join the team of Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, and IYO SKY against the formidable group of Becky Lynch, Lash Legend, Nia Jax, and the Kabuki Warriors.
