On Tuesday, October 28, BTS' Jungkook held a Weverse livestream where he was also playing games on his PC. He held a total of three livestreams on the same day, and the idol talked about various things, such as his recent campaign with Calvin Klein, several new snacks he bought, and other things. One of the things he revealed was the diagnosis of his eyesight.
He expressed that he has been diagnosed with farsightedness and astigmatism, and stated that due to the same, he hasn't been able to look at screens for too long. Farsightedness is a condition where the person affected by it can see things that are far clearly, but things nearby are unclear. Astigmatism, on the other hand, causes blurry vision at all distances, especially worsening with lights.
Therefore, he has applied for his prescribed glasses to help with his diagnosis, and he's waiting for the same to get better at playing games and interacting with screens. Here's what he stated:
"I went to get my vision checked. I have farsightedness and astigmatism. They said I have both. But I didn't even realize it was bothering me before. So I recently got prescribed new glasses. Let's play again once I've got them. Some people who share the diagnosis with Jungkok also gave recommendations on how to take care of them and advised him to regularly wear glasses.

Looking at TV or phone/computer inthe dark is very bad for eyes. I hope he uses his glasses and sit in the light or do laser. I did over 20 yrs ago as a teen, my eyes was 20/ 20 until recently old age approaching I am far sighted lol.

All you need to know about BTS' Jungkook and his solo activities
BTS' Jungkook, otherwise known as Jeon Jung-kook, made his solo debut with the release of his first single, SEVEN feat. Latto, in July 2023. He soon followed it up with another collaborative single with Jack Harlow called 3D in September 2023. Around November of the same year, he released his first all-English studio album, GOLDEN, which held the song, Standing Next To You, as its title track.
A collaborative version of the title track with Usher was also rolled out soon after the album. Around December 2023, he enlisted in the military to fulfill his mandatory service. Jungkook entered the military alongside his bandmate, Jimin, under the Buddy System. Regardless of his enlistment, he released a single called Never Let Go in June 2024 on the occasion of BTS's 11th debut anniversary.
In June 2025, the idol was discharged from the military along with Jimin. His first public apperance was in September 2025 at the New York Fashion Week as Calvin Klein's brand ambassador. Therefore, fans and netizens have been looking forward to more such solo content and releases from Jungkook.
