Kyle Kuzma had a good defensive showing in Milwaukee's 121-111 win over the New York Knicks on Tuesday. The Bucks guard was given the responsibility to guard one of the best big men in the league, Karl-Anthony Towns.
Kuzma did a great job in keeping the seven-footer in check. He applied pressure on his man, sacrificed his body to draw in fouls, and did not allow Towns to get into his rhythm.
He forced KAT to commit offensive fouls whenever he tried to make a play. The Knicks' big man accumulated five personal fouls and was unable to do much in the final moments of the game. He ended the game with eight-points, 12-rebounds and one-assist.

After securing the win, Kyle Kuzma participated in a brief post-game interview where he was asked to explain his thoughts while facing one of the best big men in the league. The Bucks guard gave a confident answer and leaned on his experience in the league to explain his great defensive performance.
"I think I’ve been in the league long enough and played against talent long enough to kind of understand what he kind of wants and what he wants to do,” Kuzma said. “So being out there and just being physical, being physical, put my body on them. A lot of times when you’re playing guys that are physical, they don’t want you to be physical. So just bringing that attitude and mentality to the game really probably frustrated him a little bit."Kyle Kuzma was matched up against the Knicks star in 49.1% of his possessions. During those matchups, the Bucks guard held Towns to 0 of 4 shooting.
