Texans fans are still holding grudges against Stroud after Super Bowl 60

10 hours ago 2

The Seattle Seahawks handled business against the New England Patriots at Super Bowl 60. Drake Maye struggled to generate any offense until the last quarter of the game, and throughout the playoffs, the young quarterback didn’t have the best of times. The Houston Texans were eliminated by the same Patriots that struggled in the Super Bowl, and Houston fans aren’t happy, mainly because they blame quarterback C.J. Stroud for imploding and denying them the opportunity to feature in the final game.

Zero reason we shouldn’t be playing right now like #7 you will actually have to make up for this.

Stroud is turning a new leaf, but fans haven’t forgotten his brutal playoff performances

Stroud has gone through a change in style this offseason, as he cut his locks just a few days ago, which was a development that also garnered public attention. He also denied an invitation to play in last week’s Pro Bowl with the intent of focusing on next season.

However, it’ll take more than a haircut and a declined invite to a friendly match for Texans fans, and the larger NFL public, to see Stroud the way they saw him during his rookie year. In two playoff games this season, Stroud had a 51.3 RTG and threw five interceptions while only tacking on two touchdowns according to StatMuse

At least now, with the season now in the rearview mirror, Stroud and the Texans will stay away from the public eye and have the chance to truly reset as they look into what comes next.
