One of the hottest markets for Super Bowl 2026 has very little to do with the actual game.
The gatorade bath for the coach who emerges victorious from Sunday’s game Seahawks vs. Patriots game will likely have people huddled around their TV as the clock ticks down toward zero.
Several books have provided odds for this Super Bowl market that is seemingly getting more popular each year. As of Sunday morning, there is a clear favorite among the six options.
Super Bowl 2026 Gatorade color odds
| Yellow/Lime or Green | +225 |
| Orange | +275 |
| Blue | +300 |
| Purple | +650 |
| Red/Pink | +900 |
| Water/Clear | +1000 |
At BetMGM, the yellow/lime or green option is the favorite be dumped on the winning coach after the game. In fact, there was some line movement this week with that option moving from +260 to +225.
Orange, which was the favorite previously went from +225 to +275 while blue moved from +260 to +300.
Yellow was the gatorade color dumped on head coach Nick Sirianni last year after his Eagles dismantled the Chiefs in the Super Bowl If you think recency bias is the reason behind yellow’s rise up the odds, you’re halfway right.

Getty ImagesAccording to BetMGM’s tracking of the Super Bowl gatorade bath color, there’s been an ongoing trend happening since 2021. Over that span, the gatorade color has repeated with blue juice getting dumped on Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians and Sean McVay in back-to-back years. The next two years had Andy Reid getting doused with purple gatorade in their two Super Bowl wins as well.

This is not a market where bettors should be breaking the bank to get money down on a wager. Of all the things to bet on for the Super Bowl, this should fall into the fun if you win, but not worth losing large sums of money category.
That said, I’m making two small wagers here. Because there’s been a bit of trend developing, I’m inclined bet yellow/lime or green. I’m also betting red/pink, which hasn’t been dumped in the 25 previous Super Bowls that have been tracked. In a game with two unlikely participants, I’m happy to take a flier on an unlikely outcome.
The pick(s): Red/Pink (+900) | Yellow/Lime or Green (+225) at BetMGM
