Swerve Strickland is currently out of action due to injury-related issues. He recently underwent surgery and has reportedly been recovering well. Furthermore, rumors strongly suggest that he will make his All Elite Wrestling return soon.

Swerve Strickland signed with AEW in 2022. He was a WWE star from 2019 to 2021. However, his time in the Stamford-based company was underwhelming. Tony Khan managed to book him properly and made him a megastar. His absence is felt on Dynamite every week since he is currently sidelined.

The New Flavor is quite active on Twitter. Interestingly, he shared a picture of himself in a sauna a few hours ago. This post had a cryptic caption.

"Chamber" read its caption.

Swerve Strickland is a former AEW World Champion and a former AEW World Tag Team Champion with Keith Lee. His last match took place at Forbidden Door, where he unsuccessfully challenged Kazuchika Okada for the Unified Championship.

Swerve Strickland receives praise from a wrestling veteran

In a 2024 episode of Keepin' It 100, wrestling veteran Konnan and Disco Inferno discussed the meteoric rise of the former Isaiah "Swerve" Scott in All Elite Wrestling.

Inferno called the 35-year-old an excellent performer and brilliant on the microphone.

"He sticks out. He's not sticking out because of the color of his skin. He's sticking out because he's an excellent performer. You know, he checks all the boxes, and plus, it got him over huge when he went out there and just torched guys on the mic out of nowhere... Bro, you know what got him over is the fact that Adam Page let him roast him on the mic, and just like took it, and just walked off, and that again made him a more important character... You don't want to go head-to-head with Swerve on the mic. He can roast you, you know,' Inferno said.

Only time will tell what the future holds for The New Flavor in AEW. Hopefully, he will become world champion again someday.
