India captain Suryakumar Yadav returned to form in the rain-abandoned first T20I against Australia at Manuka Oval in Canberra on Wednesday, October 29. The right-handed batter took some time to settle at the crease before unleashing his fiery batting display following his six off Josh Hazlewood in the fifth over.
The 35-year-old slammed two fours and a six off Nathan Ellis in the 10th over before rain had the final say in the series opener. The skipper remained unbeaten 39 off 24 deliveries, comprising two maximums and three boundaries.
With the knock, Yadav also returned to form after a lean patch with the bat in the Asia Cup 2025. The Mumbai batter would now be keen to continue his form in the remaining four T20Is Down Under as the defending champions prepare for the ICC T20 World Cup at home next year.
Yadav loves playing in Australia, having amassed 278 runs in seven T20Is at an average of 69.50 and a strike rate of 185.33, comprising three half-centuries.
In this article, we will compare Australian swashbuckling batter Tim David’s record with Suryakumar Yadav in T20Is.
