Reigning ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon of Thailand witnessed Masaaki Noiri earn the respect of the entire combat sports community when he knocked out Tawanchai PK Saenchai last March.
Seeing how his compatriot paid the price for being a bit too lax against the Japanese striker, Superbon vowed not to make the same mistake.
The 35-year-old Thai superstar will look to unify the 155-pound kickboxing belts against the interim champ in the curtain closer of ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri on November 16 at Ariake Arena in Tokyo.
Superbon, who fell to Tawanchai in their two meetings, always knew the underdog Noiri would shock the world against the reigning ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champ.

That said, the Superbon Training Camp founder will keep his guard up against the dangerous Team Vasileus affiliate.
"I cannot take him for granted at all because he showed it in his previous fight with Tawanchai. You cannot take it for granted even for one second up there," he told ONE Championship.Superbon says rules played a factor in Masaaki Noiri's upset over Tawanchai
Superbon knows how lethal Tawanchai is in 'The Art of Eight Limbs' after failing to dethrone him in two attempts.
However, the 35-year-old superstar believes his fellow Thai's weaponry isn't as effective under kickboxing rules, which was evident against Masaaki Noiri.
The Japanese superstar, on the other hand, is a natural kickboxer, and his experience in the sport was extremely crucial against Tawanchai.
Superbon told ONE Championship in the same interview:
“Kickboxing has many differences, such as no leg pulling when you're kicked, no holding when striking, which is probably something he is not used to."Follow ONE Championship and Sportskeeda for the latest news on Superbon and Masaaki Noiri’s unification battle.
