Kenneth Walker III brought the running back position back to the forefront of the NFL’s biggest stage.
The Seattle Seahawks star was named Super Bowl 60 MVP on Sunday night, becoming the first running back in 28 years to win the award as he powered Seattle past the New England Patriots. The last running back to take home Super Bowl MVP honors was Terrell Davis with the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 32.

— ProFootballTalk (@ProFootballTalk) February 9, 2026Kenneth Walker III is in the final year of his rookie contract, which expires in March. The four-year contract is valued at $8.44 million. With his MVP win tonight, he has certainly made a strong case to secure a long-term deal to remain in Seattle.
On Sunday, Walker rushed 27 times for 135 yards and caught two passes for 26 yards. However, his impressive 49-yard touchdown was called back due to a holding penalty with less than three minutes remaining in the game.
