As reported by WWD, Tyla wore an olive-green silk brocade gown from Christian Dior’s spring 1998 collection, originally designed by John Galliano for the 2025 Glamour Women of the Year Awards.
The floor-length vintage piece featured a pearl shoulder strap and cap sleeve on one arm, paired with a low-cut neckline. She completed the look with a string of small pearls and a pair of D’accori Belle platform sandals in “chameleon green,” priced at around $912.
The six-inch D’accori heels, known for their sculptural hourglass silhouette, are made from calfskin leather and have been worn by stars including Beyoncé, Dua Lipa, and Doja Cat. WWD reported that as Tyla walked the red carpet, the hem of her gown lifted slightly, revealing the full height of the shoes, a picture that reportedly went viral on social media.
As Glamour’s Global Woman of the Year, the singer-songwriter was celebrated for her cross-continental reach and artistic versatility. The magazine described her as a “talented South African superstar who embodies the sound and look of a new generation,” as reported by WWD.
This year’s Glamour honorees also included figures from entertainment and sports who have reshaped their respective industries. Actress Demi Moore was recognized for her longevity and boundary-pushing performances, while the WNBA players were awarded and celebrated for their advocacy and athletic excellence.
