Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's MVP Sneakers are a sweet tribute to his wife

Shai Gilgeous Alexander is celebrating his MVP Award with an MVP shoe that's dedicated to his wife.

On the heels of receiving the league's 2025 Most Valuable Player Award, SGA dropped the "Hail Clay" colorway of his Converse SHAI 001, which he says draws inspiration from his wife Hailey's brown eye color. The shoes are constructed with a light brown clay-themed upper, and boasts a zip-up design that makes it easy to slip on and off. The silhouette is equipped with a rubber base built for performance and traction. 

Of the new shoe, Gilgeous-Alexander simply stated: "Inspired by the color of the eyes of my Most Valuable Person, my beautiful wife Hailey." At the moment, the "Hail Clay" doesn't have an official release date, but fans are already anticipating its arrival.

SGA also paid tribute to his wife during his MVP acceptance speech, saying, "Thank you for everything you are, for me, for our son Ares. You were the first person to show me what love really meant... I wouldn't be the man I am, I wouldn't be the player I am, I wouldn't be the father I am without you."
