Maryland's quest for redemption continues as it reached the semifinals for the second consecutive year and fourth time in five years.
The Terrapins have been one of the nation's best teams in the past half-decade, but they only have one title to show for it. They won in 2022 and were the runner-up in 2024 and 2021.
The 2025 squad is the No. 2 seed and took down Georgetown, 9-6, in the quarterfinals. Braden Erksa shined with three goals and one assist.
Maryland will play No. 6 Syracuse in the semifinals on Saturday. Syracuse is coming off a major, 19-18 victory against No. 3 Princeton. The Orange trailed, 16-12, heading into the fourth quarter and proceeded to score six goals, four of which were unanswered.
These teams faced off once earlier this season with Maryland winning, 11-7.
