Sean McDermott's Buffalo Bills have had a mixed season so far. While the Bills still control their destiny in the playoff race, they suffered a surprising 30-13 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 10.

A day after the loss to Miami, Buffalo signed wideout Mecole Hardman Jr. as a free agent to its practice squad. On Wednesday, McDermott said that he is looking forward to what Hardman can offer to his offense.

"Excited about that," McDermott said when asked about what Hardman would bring to his team. "You look at position flexibility, he brings some of that, and the speed element is real, having gone against him. He hasn't played in a little bit of time here, so we gotta take it one day at a time, albeit, but I'm really interested in seeing how he is gonna help us."

McDermott also said he is still searching for the best WR combination in offense after Hardman's addition to the roster.

"It's about as many guys as we can get that can help us," McDermott said when asked if the players on his practice squad can help improve the level of the active squad. "And, iron sharpens iron. So, one guy has one skill set, the other guy has another skill set, and we piece it all together week-to-week to put a winning combination out there."

Hardman has won three Super Bowls across two stints with the Kansas City Chiefs. He signed with the Green Bay Packers this offseason, but was eventually released on Sept. 23.

It will be interesting to see if Hardman can forge a strong partnership with Bills quarterback Josh Allen this season.
