Seahawks veteran urged to sign with Browns to protect Shedeur Sanders

The talk of the offseason for the Cleveland Browns has been on the quarterback situation.

Whatever the coaching staff decides to do, the Browns still have to improve their offense for said quarterback. Adding another weapon or two would make sense, and improving the offensive line should be just as big of a priority.

With Jack Conklin missing many games in recent years, signing another offensive tackle might be the best plan.

Moe Moton of Bleacher Report believes George Fant of the Seattle Seahawks could be the perfect option.

Fant rejoined the Seahawks during the 2024 season after spending the first three years of his career with the team.

“Jack Conklin has missed 34 games since 2021. Dawand Jones has sat out 13 games in two years. The Browns haven't re-signed Jedrick Wills Jr. Their top two offensive tackles have an extensive recent injury history, so they need reliable depth at that position. Fant has 75 career starts with experience on both sides of the line. He can fill in for Conklin or Jones,” he wrote.

While it’d make sense for the Browns to add another offensive tackle, it's also important to note that Fant only played in two games last year due to an injury.

It's tough to say that he'd be much more reliable than Conklin at this point, but the Browns could look at this situation as a safety net. If he stays healthy, that'd be perfect. If not, hopefully, others would.

Thirty-two years old, he's played in 101 games throughout his career, starting in 75 of them.

Fant isn't the best, but he's a steady veteran, and that's valuable.
