Athletics 1B has extremely forgettable MLB debut

The Athletics have lost 11 games in a row following a 9-6 defeat to the Philadelphia Phillies in 11 innings on Saturday. While the home loss was a tough blow - especially since the Athletics led going into the 9th - the injury to Nick Kurtz is another tough pill to swallow. 

Earlier in the day, the Athletics called up 2019 first-round pick Logan Davidson to bring a fresh face to a team that had lost 10 straight games.

Davidson did make his debut on Saturday. In the bottom of the 10th, he pinch-ran for Kurtz after he left the game. However, Davidson was thrown out at home after tagging up, and he looked incredibly slow in the process.

It got worse for Davidson. In the top of the 11th, Kyle Schwarber hit a go-ahead two-run double and ran right into Davidson, who was standing in the basepaths and was called for base-runner interference. 

Oh, and one more. Davidson struck out swinging in his first MLB at-bat, which turned out to be the final out of the game. 

Sure, Davidson was happy to make his MLB debut, but this might be one he wants to wipe from his memory.
