Seahawks announce 6 roster moves going into rematch with 49ers image

The Seattle Seahawks announced several roster moves on Saturday heading into today's road game against the San Francisco 49ers. Here's a quick review of who's coming and who's going for Seattle's Week 11 game.

The biggest news is that the Seahawks have placed their starting center Connor Williams on the reserved/retired list. We learned on Friday that Williams has decided to retire after he sat out practice all week for "personal reasons," which head coach Mike Macdonald would not get into. For now, second-year lineman Olu Oluwatimi will get the ball and start at center.

Seattle also waived nose tackle Brandon Pili, who they claimed off waivers earlier this past week from the Miami Dolphins. That's likely a good sign regarding the status of defensive tackle Leonard Williams, who was limited at practice this week with a foot injury but has no status so he's expected to be in the lineup against the 49ers.

That opens up two spots on the 53-man roster, which will be filled by a pair of practice squad players. The Seahawks announced that they have signed tight end Tyler Mabry as well as wide receiver Cody White off the practice squad. Mabry gives them more depth at tight end with Noah Fant having been ruled out this week. Meanwhile, White has made a few splashes on special teams this year.

Seattle also used their two usual standard practice squad elevations this week on safety Ty Okada and inside linebacker Patrick O'Connell.
