Newest Bills DT fined for being a menace

The Buffalo Bills signed defensive tackle Jordan Phillips ahead of Week 10, and the 2015 second-round pick immediately made his presence known during the Bills' 30-20 win in Indianapolis.

Phillips only recorded two solo tackles. But, as reported by ESPN's Alaina Getzenberg, "Bills DT Jordan Phillips was fined $6,722 for unsportsmanlike conduct (taunting) in the second quarter vs. the Colts. This was not called during the game and the Bills offense was on the field at the time."

There is speculation on X (formerly Twitter) that Phillips was fined for taunting Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin on the sideline following Bills wide receiver Mack Hollins' 44-yard catch.

It's as good a guess as any, especially considering Phillips taunted Franklin on Instagram after the game.

Phillips, 32, re-signed with the Bills after the Dallas Cowboys released him on November 5.

This is Phillips' third Bills stint. The Oklahoma alum began his NFL career with the Miami Dolphins, who cut him early in the 2018 season. The Bills claimed Phillips off of waivers in October 2018, and he remained in Buffalo through the 2019 season.

Phillips hit free agency and signed with Arizona in March 2020, but he only played 18 games across 2020-21 for the Cardinals before landing back in Buffalo for the 2022 and '23 seasons.

So far this season, Phillips appeared in two games for Dallas and one for Buffalo.

The 8-2 Bills are preparing to host the 9-0 Chiefs on Sunday, November 17.
