Saraya had taken a long sabbatical from the wrestling world for more than a year. Amidst major rumors of her returning to WWE, she finally showed up in a wrestling ring, but not in the Stamford-based promotion.

The Anti-Diva rose to prominence for her stint as Paige in WWE that lasted from 2012 until 2018 as an active performer and then in other roles in the company. In 2022, she departed WWE to join rival promotion AEW and returned as an in-ring competitor after having to retire due to neck injuries in 2018.

Her run in All Elite Wrestling lasted until March 2025, following which she left the promotion and took a break from wrestling to focus on other projects. However, at the recent Insane Wrestling Revolution event, Saraya stunned the fans by making a surprise appearance.

Interestingly, she did her entrance on her former WWE theme song, “Stars in the Night.”Her appearance has possibly fueled rumors of her rejoining the promotion that had been prevalent for months since she left AEW this year.

Saraya spoke about returning to in-ring action

In an interview with the Toronto Sun, Saraya revealed that she would resume training for an in-ring return in January 2026. However, the former WWE Divas Champion made it clear that she wanted to come back in her top form inside the squared circle.

"I’m gonna get into training in January and we’ll see where that takes me, you know. Because I feel like I do—if I was to ever come back, you know, not saying I am, but if I was to ever come back, I want to be at the top of my game and be wrestling better than I was wrestling back when I was in NXT, you know," she said.

With the former AEW star finally coming back to a ring using her WWE entrance, it seems that 2026 might see her rejoin the promotion eventually.
