The 10th-seeded Santa Clara Broncos will face the seventh-seeded Kentucky Wildcats in the first round of the 2026 NCAA Tournament on Friday. The WCC-SEC matchup will be interesting on many levels. Both teams were at-large with the Broncos coming off a 79-68 loss to Gonzaga in the WCC championship game.
On the other hand, Kentucky has struggled this year at 21-13, but have won two of the last three games. This is one of the contests to watch for the upset factor. Santa Clara has played every tournament team close this season.
