Rukiya Anpo expects an easy outing against Marat Grigorian at ONE 173: “The fight will be domination”

Japanese combat sports superstar and former K-1 champion ‘Demolition Man’ Rukiya Anpo is ready to make his ONE Championship debut when he steps inside the Circle next weekend, and he believes he’s going to absolutely crush it.

Anpo is set to face former ONE featherweight kickboxing world title challenger Marat Grigorian in his first fight in the world’s largest martial arts organization. The two lock horns at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri, which will go down live on Sunday, Nov. 16, from Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview, Anpo promised fans an entertaining battle from start to end, but also, that his hand will be raised in victory when it’s all said and done.

‘Demolition Man’ said:

“The result is easy. It will be dominated by me. I don’t know if it will end in a KO or not, but the fight will be domination by Anpo. I am very sure that this fight will be the most exciting and fun fight of the night. It will be fight of the night, that’s for sure.”

Rukiya Anpo has high praise for Marat Grigorian after war of words: “I accept that he is my strongest opponent”

For all their back-and-forth banter, ‘Demolition Man’ Rukiya Anpo maintains that he actually has a lot of respect for Armenian kickboxing icon Marat Grigorian. The two face off at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri on Nov. 16.

Anpo told Sportskeeda MMA:

“Other than the ONE Championship [belt], Marat Grigorian has had all the major belts in kickboxing. I really respect Marat Grigorian’s career and I accept that he is my strongest opponent in kickboxing ever.”
