ONE Championship’s only three-sport queen Stamp Fairtex learned her lesson and took a more cautious approach on her road to a full recovery.

The Thai superstar sat out the last two years due to a torn meniscus. In her eagerness to return to action, the 27-year-old suffered a setback to her recovery process last year, which further delayed her return.

Speaking to ONE Championship, Stamp shared why she’s not rushing back to mixed martial arts just yet:

“I decided to go for kickboxing before MMA because I wanted to warm up my body first. I’ve been away for two years, and the muscle I lost after the surgery is all gone.”

Stamp goes back to her striking roots at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri against Kana Morimoto.

This atomweight kickboxing showdown will take place on November 16 at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

Stamp excited to face strong opponent Kana in comeback fight

While Stamp believes that kickboxing will be easier for her recently recovered body than MMA, she'll still face a formidable challenge.

According to Stamp, she agreed to fight Kana because she respects her as a person and a martial artist.

"The reason I accepted the fight with Kana is that I feel she is the best in kickboxing in Tokyo, in Japan. I feel it's a challenge. Whether I win or lose, there's no harm in fighting her. I feel that fighting someone great is always a good thing,” she told ONE Championship
