The April showers are falling in May in Cincinnati.
They've caused the Reds and Nationals to have to wait to begin a three-game weekend series.
First pitch was slated for 7:05 p.m. ET on Friday, but about two hours before, the Reds announced that the start of the game would be delayed.

The Reds and Nationals are both at pivot points in their season.
Cincinnati is 17-15, while Washington is 14-18. A big weekend one way or the other could change things greatly.
The Reds are slated to send ace Hunter Greene to the mound on Friday night. He's 3-2 with a 2.70 ERA.
The Nationals counter with lefty Mitchell Parker, who has started phenomenally with a 3-1 record and 2.65 ERA.
The delay is complicated by the fact that Saturday's weather forecast looks even worse.
To get these games in in any form, the Reds and Nats probably have to wait it out on Friday night.
They still might need a doubleheader on Sunday to make up for a miss on Saturday.
Regardless, it could be a long night or two in Cincinnati.
