The Los Angeles Rams had a less-than-great NFL Draft. They acquired the Atlanta Falcons 2026 first-round pick by trading out of the first round, which led to the Falcons choosing Tennessee edge rusher James Pearce. Outside of that, though, the Rams didn't do anything flashy in the draft. They still need help on the defensive side of the ball, which could lead to them seeking out free agents.
One player the Rams could look into bringing in is their own former edge rusher Von Miller. Miller wouldn't be placed in a starting role, of course. Jared Verse and Byron Young are a very good young duo on the rise. Well who better to help mentor the two young edge rushers than the man who helped the Rams win the Super Bowl in the 2021 season?
Miller is coming off a respectable season with the Bills, notching six sacks as a more situational pass rusher. Putting him in a rotation with Young, Verse, and 2025 third-round pick Josiah Stewart would give the Rams practically a player-coach in Miller who can help teach the Rams' young pass rushers while also being used in a certain amount of snaps per game.
