The most popular driver in Formula 1 welcomed a new addition to his team on Friday.
Max Verstappen announced the birth of his new daughter, Lily, with his partner, Kelly Piquet, in an Instagram post on Friday. It is the couples first child together and makes Verstappen the second F1 driver on the current circuit to be a father.
Verstappen missed media day for the Miami Grand Prix due to the timing of his Lily's arrival, but he is expected to practice on Friday and race on Sunday.

Now competing as a proud dad, Verstappen should have an extra spark to claim his second victory of the season in the 305 this weekend.

Max Verstappen daughter
Verstappen and his partner, Kelly Piquet, welcomed a daughter named Lily on Friday. The F1 two posted on Instagram with a beautiful message for the new addition to their family:
"Welcome to the world, sweet Lily. Our hearts are fuller than ever -- you are our greatest gift. We love you so much," Verstappen wrote.
Lily is Verstappen's first child and the couple's first child together. Piquet has a daughter named Penelope from a previous relationship with ex-F1 driver Danil Kvyat.

Max Verstappen's wife is Kelly Piquet, a daughter of three-time F1 champion Nelson Piquet. She grew up around racing and met Verstappen through her broter, Nelson Piquet Jr., who is a former F1 driver himself.
Piquet has had a successful career in the fashion industry and done some modeling. She has held roles such as a stylist assistant at Vogue Latinoamerica and has worked with brands such as Tiffany, Louis Vuitton and Pepe Jeans.
