Rams linked again to potential blockbuster move for AJ Brown

The Los Angeles Rams are once again viewed as a potential destination for Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro wide receiver A.J. Brown.

In a recent column by Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report, he listed the Rams as one of five teams that should make a move for the Super Bowl champion.

"Reengaging with the Eagles would make a ton of sense for Los Angeles, which has its own uncertainty at the receiver position. Puka Nacua checked into rehab in April and is entering a contract year—though, head coach Sean McVay hopes Nacua is "a Ram for a really long time," per ESPN's Sarah Barshop.

"The Rams are clearly trying to win now while also building for the future, as evidenced by their trade for cornerback Trent McDuffie and subsequent drafting of quarterback Ty Simpson. Adding Brown would give Matthew Stafford a premium target for this season, while ensuring L.A. has a go-to receiver in 2027, regardless of who is behind center."

AJ Brown-Rams speculation refuses to go away

There has been a ton of back and forth regarding the Rams' interest in Brown this offseason. Multiple reports suggest that the Rams were strongly interested in him, but ultimately backed out because they decided it was "not for them."

However, the chatter has never really died down, especially when you consider the Rams still have a need for another wide receiver to go along with Puka Nacua and Davante Adams.

It's unclear if the Eagles want to trade Brown or if he wants out of Philadelphia. Many view his potential departure as inevitable due to salary cap constraints and reported frustrations.

The 29-year-old is coming off a mediocre season by his standards. In the struggling Eagles offense last season, Brown recorded 78 receptions for 1,003 receiving yards, seven touchdowns, and averaged 12.9 yards per reception.

All eyes will be on after June 1, as the Eagles will likely wait for a better cap-efficient scenario if they decide to cut ties with Brown.
