The Los Angeles Rams have some roster moves to make this offseason to truly go all-in, like they plan to do in what might be Matthew Stafford's final year in the NFL.
While they've already added Trent McDuffie in a blockbuster trade, the Rams are likely to make a few more big additions. And despite having Davante Adams and Puka Nacua, wide receiver is a position to address this offseason.
But, even with wide receiver being a sneaky need for the Rams, Sarah Bishop of ESPN is expecting the Rams to part ways with a $10 million speedy wide receiver, Tutu Atwell, after he posted just six receptions this past season for the Rams.
Rams expected to part ways with Tutu Atwell
"FA most likely on the move: WR Tutu Atwell," Bishop writes. "The speedy receiver re-signed with the Rams a year ago to join a re-tooled group of receivers behind Puka Nacua and Davante Adams."
While he was set to be a third wide receiver behind Adams and Nacua in a pass-happy offense, his usage dipped significantly as the Rams lived in 13 personnel (three tight ends) more often than they lived in 11 personnel (three wide receivers) in 2025.
Atwell played in just 10 games this past season for the Rams, and he caught just six ofhis 15 targets for 192 yards and one touchdown.

After signing for $10 million last offseason, Atwell had just six catches. The Rams essentially paid $1.6 million for each catch Atwell made this past season.
That signing didn't work out at all for the Rams, and moving on this offseason makes a lot of sense. While he was a productive receiver in 2024, catching 42 passes for 562 yards, his 2025 production took a nose-dive.
Atwell is slated to be a free agent, and the Rams likely won't be bringing him back this offseason. They'll add more wide receiver depth, potentially at 13th overall in the 2026 NFL Draft. But Atwell's time in Los Angeles looks to be up.
