Syracuse will be at least a bit shorthanded Saturday when the Orange take on Pitt.
Kiyan Anthony isn't playing, with the freshman already ruled out on Friday.
Carmelo's son is in his first college basketball season, and it's been a bumpy one.
Kiyan is averaging 8.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game in 18.7 minutes averaged per contest. He has shot just 39.9% from the floor, 25.4% from 3-point range and 62.8% from the foul line.
SU head coach Adrian Autry won't be able to give Kiyan any run on Saturday, though.

Why isn't Kiyan Anthony playing today?
Kiyan Anthony is out on Saturday due to injury.
Chris Carlson of Syracuse.com reported in an article Saturday morning that the absence is injury-related, due to a lower-body injury sustained in SU's most recent game when the Orange took on Louisville.
Syracuse also has freshman Sadiq White listed as questionable due to a left shoulder injury, also from the Louisville game.
It's a battle near the bottom of the ACC on Saturday.
Syracuse is 6-11 in conference (15-15 overall). Pitt is 4-13 in ACC play (11-19 overall).
Both teams have injury absences, and it won't be a game with a whole lot on the line except maybe for coaching jobs.
