Fantasy baseball OF rankings and tiers for 2026 drafts with auction values and dynasty strategy

1 hour ago 2

Fantasy baseball outfield rankings are different than the rest of the position players. In fantasy leagues, you usually start one guy at catcher, first base, second base, third base and shortstop.

In the outfield, though? It's usually three, sometimes broken down by position, sometimes not. That means you have to get your draft picks right in the outfield to avoid busts, nail sleepers and simply outdo the other drafters to have the best chance at a fantasy championship.

These rankings are a chance to help you do that. They've got the big names, and a lot of sleeper possibilities, too.

It starts at the top with Aaron Judge, as you'd expect.

We wouldn't take any outfielder over Judge, but the talent below him is immense.

Juan Soto, Ronald Acuna, Julio Rodriguez, Fernando Tatis Jr., Jackson Chourio, James Wood, Kyle Tucker, Corbin Carroll, Kyle Schwarber, Roman Anthony and more. It's amazing.

One note: If Carroll is ready for Opening Day, we'd move him up to the No. 6 spot in the rankings, behind Tatis. He's down just a few spots with his game one availability uncertain due to injury.

It's possible to find gems all over this list. Feeling sentimental? You can draft Mike Trout as your third outfielder.

Want to win steals? Take Chandler Simpson.

Sleepers? Try Noelvi Marte, or Chase DeLauter, or Cam Smith, or Owen Caissie.

There's something here for everyone, including self-generated auction values and tiers.

You've got to get outfield right, and if you're in a dynasty league, scroll down further and we've got thoughts on that format, too.

Fantasy baseball OF advice in dynasty leagues

Top 3 dynasty strategy tips for fantasy baseball OF

1. Consider present and future opportunity

We're conditioned in fantasy sports to think about what a player is going to do for us right now. In a dynasty league, you have to consider both now and later.

2. Don't overdo it on young players

Yes, dynasty leagues are set up to last forever. They often don't, though, and there's always the owner who drafts only prospects. It's fine to draft a proven veteran.

3. The best ability is availability

Early in careers, it's not always easy to know whether a guy will have injury trouble. But the injury prone label is one that is especially painful in dynasty leagues, because you end up with the same player hurt over and over through the years.

James Wood

Top dynasty OF to draft in fantasy baseball 2026

Note that these aren't rankings, but rather just a few players we'd target in dynasty league startup drafts.

James Wood

We like Wood relative to the values of other guys. We've actually got him ranked higher above than most lists, where he's more like No. 10. Wood could be the next Judge.

Roman Anthony

This isn't going to be a sneaky selection at all, but Anthony should be an All Star for the next decade.

Jackson Merrill

He's a top-10 dynasty outfielder who isn't being drafted like one. Merrill's future with the Padres is bright.

Jakob Marsee

Immense combo of power and speed that may fly under the radar because he plays for the Marlins.

Noelvi Marte

A converted third baseman, Marte has a sweet bat that should work nicely for the Reds.

Chase DeLauter

He can finally solve Cleveland's outfield woes. He can also be a long-term starter in dynasty baseball, as he's hit every single level he's ever played at.

Cam Smith

He had a lot of hype when he won an Opening Day spot in 2025, then didn't quite deliver. He's still the same player, and he has a great chance to pan out.

Owen Caissie

He didn't have room to play with the Cubs. With the Marlins? Caissie can be a star.
