Priyanka Chopra Reveals Advice for Her, Nick Jonas’ Daughter Malti on Future Career
Priyanka Chopra Jonas has some words of wisdom to share with her mini-me Malti Marie.
The Bluff actress shared her one piece of advice for her and husband Nick Jonas' 4-year-old daughter if she decides to pursue a career in entertainment when she grows up.
“Focus on yourself and what your contribution is instead of all the noise,” Priyanka exclusively told E! News correspondent Will Marfuggi. “There can be so much distraction and pressure that comes from it. I think just focusing on your craft helps and protects you to be good at what you do.”
And though Malti's still young, the Quantico alum—whose latest project, The Bluff, premieres on Prime Video Feb. 25—revealed that her daughter already loves coming to set and learning about her job.
“She’s been on set with me since she was one year old,” Priyanka said. “She traveled when she was six months, she’s been on tour with my husband and she’s very exposed to what the job is.”
In fact, Malti doesn’t know anything different, especially growing up with two parents who are constantly in the spotlight between their respective acting and music careers.
“We’ve tried to just normalize it for her,” Priyanka shared. “Like, every parent has a job, Mama makes movies. This is a set, this is crafty [craft services] and this is our first AD, and this is our producer and hair and makeup does this.”
The 43-year-old continued, “She’s seen the different departments, and I think she really loves coming to set with me. Her fascination and curiosity is just so much fun.”

Regardless of what Malti chooses to do, Priyanka and Nick—who got married in 2018—will be in full support of their daughter and simply love watching her grow, especially after she spent the first three months of her life in a hospital NICU following her premature birth in January 2022.
“Our daughter’s incredible… she’s magic in every sense of the world,” Nick, 33, shared on the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast earlier this month. “She just turned four a couple weeks ago. It blows my mind, I look at her and I can see her future. I just know she’s going to do amazing things, and I’m awestruck that I get to experience her magic. She’s just perfect in every way.”

The “Jealous” singer also noted that Malti has a remarkable way of walking through life, explaining, “I feel like she knows how she entered the world and what that first chapter of her life was like. And so every day is a gift, and you can actually feel it on her in the way that she behaves and how exciting everything is."
“I don’t know how much she remembers,” he added. “Probably nothing, [but] spiritually I believe that there’s gratitude in her and that she’s incredible.”
