Alexander Zverev and his girlfriend Sophia Thomalla posed with their adorable dachshund puppy, Mishka, at an event by the German's eponymous foundation.

Alexander Zverev and Sophia Thomalla have been dating since 2020 and made their relationship official in 2021. The couple has since made public appearances together and also shown love for each other through social media posts. Thomalla has been a fixture at Zverev's tennis events, accompanying him on the tour and witnessing him rack up titles.

Alexander Zverev and his partner also enjoy their time off, often spending it with their newly adopted dachshund puppy, Mishka, whom they welcomed around October 2025. In a recent Instagram story by Thomalla, she and the German player posed for a selfie with the adorable Mishka wrapped in the latter's arms.

In an interview with BILD, Zverev revealed that their decision to welcome a new furry member into the family stemmed from the heartbreak Thomalla experienced after her dog’s tragic passing in 2024.

"Sophia always had a dog, who unfortunately passed away this year. At one point, I was getting 20 dachshund (Instagram) reels a day from Sophia. That's when I thought to myself: I've understood the message, what's going on," he said.

Little Mishka, who recently accompanied the couple in their golf outing, has already travelled with the player to Vienna, Paris and Turin.

Alexander Zverev has a career in tennis, while Thomalla works in the entertainment industry as a model, actress, and television presenter. Since their lives are so different, they don’t have it easy relationship-wise either. In the documentary Zverev: Der Unvollendete, Thomalla spoke about the complications in her relationship with Zverev, but also how they always find their way back to each other through communication.

"We don't have a simple life together. Alex, with the incredible amount of sports he has and the continuity he has to go through again and again - and my life is anything but continuous. It's not 24/7 red roses now. I can talk to him about anything and he also has an ear for it."

The World No. 3 also expressed how his girlfriend helped him see other aspects of life beyond tennis.

"She gave me the chance to realize that there is much more out there than tennis."

Zverev was in contention at the ATP Finals, where he couldn't go past the round robin stage.
