On October 28, 2025, Netflix's renowned Korean competition show Physical: 100 premiered a worldwide spinoff called Physical: Asia. The new spinoff features a global tournament involving eight nations: South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Mongolia, Indonesia, Türkiye, Australia, and the Philippines. The winning team of Physical: Asia will take home one billion Korean won (approximately $700,000).
They will also be honoured as the most physically dominant nation in Asia. Unlike the original format, Physical: Asia pits teams against one another rather than individual competitors. This ultimately adds a fierce layer of strategy to every challenge.
Team Korea represents South Korea. It is captained by former UFC fighter Kim Dong-hyun. The team includes a few of the nation's top-tier athletes and fan favorites on the popular show Physical: 100, including Amotti, Choi Seung-yeon, Jang Eun-sil, Kim Min-jae, and Yun Sung-bin.
The show, created by producer Jang Ho-gi, combines traditional Asian athletic heritage with modern extreme fitness challenges. The competition includes wrestling, CrossFit, obstacle races, and more. It takes place on larger-than-life, purpose-built sets where competitors must demonstrate not only physical but also mental endurance.
