Released on October 28, Physical: Asia is a regional extension of Physical: 100, which brings teams from eight countries against one another for a ₩1 billion top prize. Six athletes represent each nation, with every team led by a captain.

For example, the captains include Manny Pacquiao (Philippines), Yushin Okami (Japan), Kim Dong-hyun (South Korea), Superbon (Thailand), Robert Whittaker (Australia), Orkhonbayar ‘Bökh’ Bayarsaikhan (Mongolia), Recep Kara (Türkiye), and Igede/Idgez Executioner (Indonesia).

Below is a brief look at the elite athletes guiding their teams in Physical: Asia.

Kim Dong-hyun in Physical: Asia (Korea)

Born in 1981, Kim Dong-hyun is a former South Korean mixed-martial-arts competitor. Before making his way to the UFC’s welterweight roster, he competed in Japan’s DEEP promotion and Korea’s Spirit MC. His in-ring highlights include a Performance of the Night for a spinning-elbow finish of John Hathaway, plus a Knockout of the Night for stopping Erick Silva. He has 18 UFC fights, with 13 victories.

He has gained four preeminent entertainment honors, too. For instance, Sportainer recognition at the 2018 Korean Art and Cultural Awards, an award at the 2019 Korea First Brand Awards, Brand of the Year in 2020, and an Excellence prize at the 2020 SBS Entertainment Awards. Outside the arena, Kim has been a regular participant on television series like Master in the House, DoReMi Market, The Return of Superman, and Strong Heart.

Yushin Okami in Physical: Asia (Japan)

Born in 1981, Yushin Okami is a Japanese mixed martial artist. He has fought across the world for top promotions, including the UFC, PRIDE, Pancrase, M-1 Global, World Series of Fighting, DEEP, Professional Fighters League, and ONE Championship. His career history lists 39 wins from 54 professional bouts. Okami also holds the Japanese record for 14 UFC victories.

Okami has captured four principal competitive titles. They include the Shooto Middleweight Championship, two ADCC Japan Qualifier championships, and the PRE-PRIDE.4 tournament title. He also holds the record for the most UFC wins by an Asian fighter.

Manny Pacquiao in Physical: Asia (Philippines)

Born in 1978, Manny Pacquiao is a Filipino boxer and a former elected official. Known as PacMan, he remains the sole fighter to win recognized world crowns in eight separate weight classes. He has collected twelve major world titles. PacMan took belts in four of boxing’s classic divisions. These include flyweight, featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight.

In July 2019, he won the WBA Super welterweight belt. This made him the oldest welterweight champion at age 40. Pacquiao was elected to the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2025. He entered politics in 2010 as Sarangani’s representative, later becoming a senator from 2016 through 2022. In 2025, the 46-year-old announced plans to leave politics and return to boxing.

Robert Whittaker in Physical: Asia (Australia)

Robert John Whittaker was born in 1990 and hails from Australia. He is a pro mixed martial arts athlete who fights at middleweight in the UFC. Whittaker has stood in the cage 36 times, with 27 wins. He made history as the first Australian to win a UFC title. Meanwhile, his UFC ledger reads 17 victories.

He first broke through by winning the welterweight tournament on The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes. He captured the interim middleweight belt at UFC 213. Whittaker later became the undisputed champion when Georges St-Pierre left the title vacant in 2017.

Orkhonbayar Bayarsaikhan in Physical: Asia (Mongolia)

Orkhonbayar Bayarsaikhan is a prominent Mongolian Bökh champion. Bökh is the country’s traditional wrestling style. His top national result is victory at the 2022 Mongolian President’s Cup. He has competed at the Naadam festival five times and regularly advanced through the ranks. In 2019, he earned the Bökh Nachin rank after reaching the fifth round.

Some records also list him as holding the Bökh Lion title and place him sixth among active Mongolian wrestlers. He won his district Bökh title in 2015 and his provincial championship in 2018. On the freestyle circuit, he took gold at the John Peterson International Youth Championship in 2017 and won silver at the National Youth Games.

Superbon in Physical: Asia (Thailand)

Superbon, known in competition as Superbon Singha Mawynn and earlier as Superbon Banchamek, is a Muay Thai and kickboxing standout. He holds multiple ONE featherweight kickboxing titles. It includes winning the first version of the belt by stopping Giorgio Petrosyan, later unifying it with a points win over Masaaki Noiri in November 2025.

His career count sits at more than one hundred forty fights with roughly one hundred seventeen victories. His résumé includes the Kunlun Fight World Max crown in 2016, the Enfusion eight-man tournament in 2018, and world honors from the WBC, PAT, IPCC, and La Nuit Des Champions. He owns major wins over Giorgio Petrosyan, Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong, Marat Grigoria, and Masaaki Noiri.

Recep Kara in Physical: Asia (Turkey)

Recep Kara remains one of Turkey’s most accomplished names in oil wrestling, carrying four Başpehlivan victories from Kırkpınar in 2004, 2007, 2008, and 2016. His first triumph came at 22. This made him the youngest champion of the Republic period after outlasting long-time competitor Ahmet Taşcı. Kara also secured the chief wrestler trophy at the Şile Oil Wrestling meet.

Alongside his achievements in oil wrestling, he also competed internationally in freestyle at 120 kilograms. He earned gold in junior European Junior Championship in 2002, a bronze in European Championship in 2009, and a silver in World Military Games silver in 2007. He also grabbed gold in Yaşar Doğu titles in 2005 and 2009.

Igedz Executioner in Physical: Asia (Indonesia)

Igede Dharma Susila, widely known as Igedz Executioner, is an Indonesian professional bodybuilder who competes in the Men’s Physique division. He won the Mr. Indonesia title in 2018. Back in 2011, he topped both the Over The Top contest in Jakarta and the National Championship in Semarang.

The following year, he secured second place at the Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON) in Riau. In 2016, he returned to PON in West Java, securing first place. Meanwhile, he also took runner-up at the FitWhey Competition in Thailand. Most recently, Igedz announced that he had joined the Elite Team of Flexpro Fitness for the Archipelago Monster Class competition.
