After battling the Orlando Magic on Monday, Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors have been enjoying a three-day break before their Christmas Day matchup against the Dallas Mavericks. Based on photos posted by Curry's wife Ayesha, the four-time NBA champion has made the most of this mini-holiday vacation.
On Christmas Eve, Ayesha went on Instagram to post images of her family having a great time. Featured in the photos are Curry and their four children Riley, Ryan, Canon, and Caius.
One picture shows the couple taking a selfie at an ice skating rink. In other photos, Riley is seen holding a miniature Christmas tree; Canon attempts to carry Caius; and Ryan hugs her older sister.
The Curry household is one of the better known families in the NBA, as fans have watched the marriage of Steph and Ayesha bear fruit for over a decade.
The couple, who have known each other since their teenage days in North Carolina, tied the knot in 2011 after Curry wrapped up his sophomore season with the Warriors. A year after, Riley was born; the second Curry child, Ryan, followed in 2015, the same year that Steph won his first-ever NBA championship.
Canon's birth came in 2018, which also happened to be a title year for his father. Just last year, Caius expanded the Curry family into a household of six.
This year's Christmas slate features the Mavericks visiting the Warriors at Chase Center. There's a good chance that the entire Curry brood will be on hand to see Steph play his latest Christmas Day game.
"The messiah of that long ball": 15x All-Star says that Steph Curry is GOAT of NBA's current era
Playing on Christmas Day in his 17th NBA season is a testament to Curry's greatness. As a matter of fact, in the eyes of a certain 15-time All-Star, Curry is second to none in the NBA's current era.
On Tuesday's episode of his "Ticket and the Truth" podcast, Kevin Garnett dished out high praise for the legacy of the Warriors superstar.
"I think that we're in the Curry era. He is the GOAT of this era," Garnett said. "When we talk about the long ball and the three ball, you got to talk about the messiah of that long ball."Aside from putting Curry on a pedestal, Garnett also offered compliments to Cade Cunningham and the Thompson twins Amen and Ausar, whom he deemed as bright young stars in the league today.
