Phil Mickelson shared yet another harsh take on social media. He has been active on social media even though he last played at LIV Golf Michigan earlier this season. This time, he has criticized a student destroying Turning Point USA signs.
Yesterday, a video was shared on X by a user titled Paul A. Szypula, in which a woman was seen kicking a sign on the side of the road. According to the caption, the accused was a student of Oklahoma State University who reportedly 'trampled' over "multiple Turning Point USA signs." As the X user called for actions to be taken against her, Phil Mickelson stepped in with his views.
The golfer took a dig at the person in the video over her behavior towards late Charlie Kirk's non-profit organization. In the comment section, Mickelson also labelled the situation as 'pathetic' and wrote:
"She believes she is morally superior and is somehow justified. Pathetic"@Bubblebathgirl She believes she is morally superior and is somehow justified. Pathetic
On September 10, Kirk was fatally shot while he was attending a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University. Following his tragic death, Phil Mickelson has openly condemned the assassination and admitted on X how he was "gutted by this atrocity." He has also condemned multiple remarks in support of Kirk's assassination, like the ones from George Abaraonye, the new President-elect of Oxford Union's debating society.
In another instance, the veteran professional golfer called out US Representative Ilhan Omar after the latter stated that the late conservative activist should be left "in the dustbin of history."
When Phil Mickelson called out an Arkansas resident for vandalizing a Charlie Kirk memorial
On September 17, a week after Kirk's death, a video went viral on X. In the clip, a woman was seen destroying a memorial held in honor of the young conservative activist in front of the Bentonville Courthouse in Bentonville, Arkansas. Olivia Krolczyck, an X user, shared the video of the Arkansas native as the latter engaged in the act, and the clip caught Mickelson's attention.
The golfer reposted the tweet and condemned Rollo's action. In the caption of his tweet, Phil Mickelson also labelled their behavior as 'disgusting' and 'disgraceful'. He wrote:
"This is appalling. Such disrespectful and disgusting behavior."Apart from that, Mickelson has come out with his unwavering support for Kirk's family. On multiple occasions, the Californian has lauded people gathering to mourn Kirk's death or holding memorial services.
Last month, the seasoned golfer lauded US President Donald Trump for awarding Kirk with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. In a separate X post, Mickelson also praised the US Senate for passing a resolution to declare October 14 as 'National Charlie Kirk Day'.
